Markets
We encourage our members to buy directly from local farmers to supplement their monthly co-op orders. By doing this, we support local farms and learn more about our Triad community. The following is a list of some of the markets in our area.
With most if not all of these, you'll get a better selection if you go early.
Winston-Salem Farmers' Markets
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-12pm
Downtown between Marshall and Trade Street, off 6th Street
Produce, bread, crafts, soap
Saturdays from 6:30-10am
Dixie Classic Fairgrounds, off Coliseum Drive
Go early for best selection
King Farmers' Market
King Farmers' Market is at 446 S. Main Street (in the pavillion of the American Legion/fairgrounds complex) in King. Open May-Oct on Wednesdays from noon until sellout, and on Saturdays from 8am until sellout. "We grow what we sell" is their motto; most produce is organically grown and all comes from the farmers' own fields.
Greensboro Curb Market
The Greensboro Curb Market is one of the oldest and best Farmers' Markets in our area. It's at 501 Yanceyville Street, in the old National Guard Armory, across from the War Memorial Stadium at 501 Yanceyville Street. It goes year-round, Saturday mornings from 6am-12pm, and Wednesdays from 7am-1pm, May through December. They have produce, dairy products, meat, cheese, seafood, flowers, baked goods, etc.

International Farmers' Market in Thomasville
This is the "mother of all markets," with Chinese farmers from Albemarle, NC and their Chinese greens; African vegetables; piles of mangos, tamarinds, fresh fish, weird fruits; Mexican baked goods, cowboy boots, live chickens and even pony rides. Well worth the trip; bring the kids or your foodie/coop friends.
Take Highway 109 south to Thomasville and stay on it through town. Turn left just after McDonald's and you will see in 1/4 mile or less an entrance to the farmers' market.
